    Hi
    Today I've done a quote for fitting the new kitchen. Even so I was told that my gas hob needs to be moved equally information technology not meet the regulations is too shut to the window.
    The gas hob must be installed at least 30cm from a window?But from a window'due south frame or a windowsill?
    Simply left side of the window is openable, the side near the gas hob is not openable.
    I do not accept a space in the kitchen to motility the hob.

    I've never heard of this regulation but information technology would be interesting to see where this is coming from.

    I was told that is the bulding reg regarding plumbing fixtures gas hob,

    Having had a flake of a look on the t'interweb this seems likes more of a recommendation than a rule and is based on your defunction being diddled over naked flames or the draught blowing your flame out, and so don't have curtains and make certain your hob has a safety cutting out.

    Have a look in the instalation manual information technology will give you lot all the clearances. Accept to say that Ive never heard that one in the 40 years Ive been playing with gas appliances. But its the manufacturers instructions that will give you the overirdding answer.
