Whenever I open some apps I get this dialog all the time.
I'd like some apps to pass this dialog.

You can change the UAC setting but then it'll never ask you. There might be a hack using a UAC trust shortcut but I would not use it. I prefer to be asked, it's safer.

yea that's what I've read. It's an all or nothing approach is not what I wanted. I wanted a per app rule. This is extremely poorly done by windows which is another reason I hate windows 10.

Whenever I open some apps (my emphasis)
Some is not all. It happens with some, but not most, of mine but it also happened on a laptop I had briefly running Win 8.1 and I vaguely remember it happening in Win 7 from time to time. A minor inconvenience at worst and not one to be blamed on Win 10 alone.

I am going to be away from base from 19 November to 5 December. Since it's called a 'holiday' my time on-line will probably be reduced and I may not reply to PMs as promptly as usual. During this period I expect to be enjoying fresh air, some good food, possibly a little beer and just generally relax !

maybe but it is far more noticeable here.
I dont know what the developers are thinking. Wouldnt they think people wouldnt like this annoyance?

Maybe it depends more on the Apps you are running?
Bear in mind if you get asked this questions something fairly major is happening, and yes I do know that Windows own recovery drive tool provokes this question but ask yourself why.

It's for Security purposes, if you want Malware Installed on your pc then go ahead and turn it off.
If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.

I think it makes sense for the program I got installed but still. I'm still used to things being so easy and user friendly alas xp.
Xp was the bleep. There was so much awesome customization. Like a pc should be. Now it's all whack, boring, and simple.
If it weren't for the suggestions, securities, and out of dates. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Slim: I only get this Notice when I download & install an App, or install an Update. Once installed, the Notice is not repeated
From what you have said, the Notice displays every time you open an App that is already installed on your PC.
Or have I misunderstood you?

Some apps will do this everytime. It depends on what they are going to do. It's kinda like a last chance are you sure thing from MS.

I think what eddie is saying makes sense in my case. I think it's a sort of either hacked program or unregistered so windows views it as alien.
Not a big deal. Just learning the policies of win10.

Slim: I don't add Apps to my PC very often but, my experience is that Windows asks this of every App you try to install.

It's installed but the way I installed it is without the installer. Just adding folder. So they must view this as alien.
Also it tends to block just about anything.
I can say I'm a big fan of this so called security.

If you download almost any executable windows will ask you if you attempt to run it. The onus is on you to say yes. That way if the executable borks your machine it's your fault.
